I mentioned earlier that I am uninterested in the subject matter of my pictures. That is only mostly true.

If you consider light, the way light can look, to be a subject, then that is my obsession. I use a small camera that I can always have with me so I can make pictures when the quality of light seems right. In many ways these pictures are little more than my best efforts to document the way light can look lovely.

I am particularly intrigued by the way that light can be special in mundane settings. So these pictures regularly portray parking lots and street corners in the kind of ethereal illumination that does not confine itself to locales untouched by humans.

The pictures in this set are from 2007.
